A young woman’s dream to attend modeling classes will come true thanks to a $1,000 donation made late last month by the Kathryn A. Basile Foster a Dream Foundation.
Zuleima Iraheta, who spent most of her childhood in foster care, is now among the growing list of young people being helped by the foundation.
Iraheta, who turned 21 on Thanksgiving, is the second youngest in a sibling group of eight and has spent much of her adult life trying to find her place — and her voice — in the grown-up world of work, rent and responsibility.
United for Families is now working with Iraheta, a student at
Indian River State College, to identify a local modeling class that will be convenient to her school schedule.
